Our Lady of the Annunciation Church

The house of worship is an outstanding example of the Mudejar in Almería province. It was started in 1540 by Juan de Moya and Juan García. In 2002 it was declared a National Monument.

Mosque

The old Fiñana mosque, today the Santiago or Our Father Jesus Nazarene hermitage, was built at the end of the 12th century or the beginning of the 13th, in the Almohad period.

Alcazaba

Its origin dates back to the end of the 9th century. A century later, on 14th May 913, the siege by Abderramán III is documented, according to Ibn Hayyan, who describes it as “impregnable”.

The large water storage well is linked to the old Alcazaba. It would be found within the walled zone of the slum quarter, but outside the second fortified compound.
